Slade Family from Dunkeswell

Is there anybody researching Robert Slade born Shepton Beauchamp farmed at Dunkeswell Devon. He was still alive in 1891 aged 87.

Dunkeswell is one of the parishes I have been given to transcribe for the 1841 Devon Census. I'll keep my eye out.

Nobody named Slade in Dunkeswell in 1841, only a locality named Slade (a farm?).

I've found the family on the 1841 census of Somerset at Shepton Beauchamp. Having looked at the 1851 census for Dunkeswell, I see that Robert's wife was named as Eunice. I think she must be a new wife as the 1841 census is as follows -

Thank you for all of this info. My guess about Robert dying between the census was wrong. I will now have to find out when he died so that I can confirm who his father was, it will be on the death certificate wont it? I now want to find out who the parents of the two newphew's were. Are you able to find William Slade born Islington on the 1891 census? or can you tell which forum to post a message on.

Thank you once again. I now have more leaves on the tree than I thought possibale. It looks like most of the children left Dunkeswell, maybe there wasn't much work about there. I have the parish records for Shepton Beauchamp from 1846 but James Salsbury Baker must have been b the year before, but I did find a Stephen Salisbury Baker and Eliza having childern about that time and with a middle name like that I would say he is the father.

Is it possible to see what info there is on the 1901 census for a few more of Roberts son's, Mark who would be about 60 and Robert about 35 and Samuel who would be about 68 they could be in London as well.
