In 1906 my G Grandfather died in the Three Counties Asylum at Stotfold shortly after he was admitted. He does not appear to be buried in his home village in Hertfordshire - does anyone know if the asylum had its own cemetery and whether records still exist? Or were the inhabitants perhaps buried in a nearby cemetery?

According to this site "Bedfordshire and Luton Archives and Records Service has a very good archive of official records from the hospital."
