Any assistance with deciphering the baptism in the middle of the document below would be much appreciated.

babtizatus fuit Primo die Augusti
Anno Do[mi]ni 1669.

which would translate as

John the son of John Gambold cordwainer
was baptised the First day of August
A.D. 1669.

(The lines over Johes and Johis indicate omission of letters. I am not sure what the ending is on 'corvis': it's possible the word is in English and is corviser, or it could be some abbreviation of the Latin word corvisarius.)

I have just realised that there is a "Gambold" in the left hand column; "marriages":

What do others think?

I think that I've only just noticed this because of the angle / positioning of the document inserted above.

I think the last four lines say

Griffith Tucker(?)
Hector Gambold
Churchwardens
Ano D(ni?) 1669

It appears to be a marginal comment rather than a marriage - perhaps a record of their appointment?
