Brechin family

I am looking for descendants of Robert Urquhart Brechin dob 16/2/1880 who emigrated to South Africa circa 1912 with his wife Annie Morrison McOustra and 2 children Helen Catherine Brechin dob 24/11/1906 and David Brechin dob 16/4/1905. The family arrived from Falkirk Scotland having originated West Calder Midlothian Scotland. Robert had been a prison warder and possibly joined Durban police department. their point of entry was Durban

Looks like he died in 1947. If you go to National Archives of South Africa (http://www.national.archives.gov.za/) and put Robert Urquhart Brechin on three separate lines of the search page, it will come up with his death notice. As this is held at the Natal Archives you can get a digital copy at a very low cost via eggsa.org (follow the instructions under Document Ordering Service FAQ on the home page). Death notices usually list any children.

Actually if you just put Brechin into the search you only get 27 hits, one of which is a 1955 divorce for Helen Catherine McOustra Pirie, born Brechin.

Anne and Helen appear on a passenger list to the UK on the Windsor Castle in 1930. Anne described as a home matron aged 46. I have also found this extract from the London Gazette (http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/28604/pages/3199/page.pdf) re the appointment of a Robert Urquhart Brechin as a prison warder for Scotland in 1912 - is this your man?
