If you Google 'Runaway Servant Ads - Ireland Old News' you will find the most astonishing array of advertisements from masters whose Irish servants have gone on the run.
When describing the runaways, their powers of observation are so detailed that they would put our modern description of 'young person wearing a dark hoody and dark tracksuit trousers' to shame. Although I must admit that the people they are describing are certainly different!
