In the churchyard at Crosby Ravensworth is a tombstone which says, "...The Memory of Sarah Clark of Appleby who died June 9th 1835 Aged 74..." Two of her daughters and a son-in-law are buried in the same grave. Sarah's husband was John Clark of Appleby.
