Further to my thread below, can anyone look for an entry on the electoral register in London for me please?

St Marylebone 1935 - 1940 approximately maybe.

Which Parliamentary Division would that be?

Hi

I believe it was St Marylebone in the borough of Westminster

This is the closest I could find:

Westminster St Marylebone 1935

Dorset Square & Regents Park Ward: 1935- 38 Park Rd.= Miss Alice Creswick.
Dorset Square & Regents Park Ward: 1936 -38 Park Rd= MRS Alice Creswick

Also unable to find marriage of Hancock or varied Croswick on I of W.

In 1935, the numbers in Sussex Place only go up to 26.

Peter, thank you for posting the information for me that numbers in 1935 only go up to 26, I now know that number 50 was gone then, 2 years before the will.

Waitabit, can you just clarify what you mean for me please?

Dorset Square and Regents Park Ward 1935 - 1938 = Miss Alice Creswick or Dorset Square and Regents Park Ward 1935 and 38 Park Road being the address?

I have a feeling the first is the one you mean.

These are entries from two years 1935 & 1936
Westminster, St.Marylebone, 1935
Polling Disatrict E, no 4 Dorset Square & Regent's Park Ward:
4917 Rw . Creswick, Alice (Miss) 38 Park Rd.

Westminster, St.Marylebone, 1936
Polling Disatrict E, no 4 Dorset Square & Regent's Park Ward:
5558 Rw = Creswick Alice (Mrs) 38 Park Rd.
as printed, earlier one may have had her mis heard as Miss. May not be your Lady either.

The Rw is just a residence qualification forWomen.
In 1936 there were three other Women & one Man living at that street address.

For Women
Rw = Residence qualification
Bw = Business premises qualification
Ow = Occupation qualification
Dw = Qualification through husband's occupation

The number,5558 is, I think to do with the census takers book.

Thanks for the clarification with this. At the moment I am keeping an open mind as to whether this could be the Alice Creswick I am searching for, she could be anywhere since Sussex in 1891, at least I know she didn't die until after 1937.
