Does any one have any information on the school run by the Reverend Mr Wilson at Barton in Westmorland in the 1740s ?

There is a mention of Barton Free School on this site, I do not know if it is the same one you are searching.
quote: "Barton Free School was founded in 1648, by Dr. Lancelot Dawes and Dr. Gerard Langbaine."

If it is the correct school, the two benefactors and the school are mentioned on Genuki.

Thank you Mutley, looked at the web sites. The school that I am interested in was a boarding school run by the reverend Joseph Wilson in the 1740s and 1750s, not a school for local children.
