Rebecca Jones. 33. b.Risborough, Bucks.
Eli Jones. 11. b. Risborough, Bucks.
Caroline Jones. 7. b.Bledlow, Bucks.
Fanny Jones. 5. b.Bledlow, Bucks.
Sarah Jones. 1. b.Bledlow, Bucks.

Joseph Jones married Rebecca Buckingham in 1840. Bledlow.

No sign of the family after the 1851 census. Any clues anyone.

Just done a random search on FreeBMD and found this marriage:

Eli JONES, June quarter 1863, volume 3a, page 511, Wycombe registration district, which covers Bledlow.

If this is your Eli, then it looks like the family (well, him at least) was still in the vicinity 12 years later.

He married Mary Anne East. aged 18 of Ibstone.(Father, John East).. He is a full age chairmaker of West Wycombe, but no father mentioned.?

Ok....I'll see if I can find them in 1871.

Found Mary Ann East c.1841 Marlow, and living in Ibstone in 1851/1861......but nothing later.??

Age from marriage puts her year of birth as 1845.??

There is also a death registration in Wycombe district for a Joseph JONES in the March quarter of 1859, volume 3a, and page (looks like) 285

If this is your Joseph, I wonder if Rebecca remarried....

There is a baptism for Mary Ann Jones in Ibstone 1864. Daughter of LEVI & Mary Jones. ???

Ibstone to Bledlow is only about 6 miles apart - as the crow flies - so quite feasible for Eli to be yours.

I don't think the Eli Jones marriage we found, is mine. Eli Jones is a widower in 1871 census. Born c1842. Downley/West Wycombe, Bucks.

Living with apparent parents, William(b.1836, Risborough) & Emily(b.1834, Amersham) Jones in Downley, West Wycombe.
