I have a death for [possibly] one of my wife's ancestors.

The registration district is East Glamorgan. The birth of the last child born to this lady was in Caerphilly and I wonder if Caerphilly was part of the East Glamorgan registration district?

Thanks

Hi Colin - to find out what was in each RD go to FreeBMD and put in any details and then click on the District itself and then when the District Information box pops up, click on the underlined word 'here' which show you the history and composition of the RD. However, click on this:

Hi Colin

I found the same page as Bertie, but it's a bit confusing, as although Caerphilly was one of the sub-districts of the East Glamorgan district, it doesn't appear to have been a parish in its own right, but rather part of the parish of Eglwysilan. Someone who knows the area might be able to explain this quirk.
