Place Name Help

Place Name Help.

I recently received a digital copy of my great great great grandparents who married in 1873 in New Caledonia. It mentions their places of origin, but I can't for the life of me decipher the place of origin of the bride. :o

I'm assuming, for the time being that it is Europe but I'm not completely sure of that. I know that I can't find a 'county of Dom' anywhere.

I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me. :)

Well I think the first one is Düngenheim now in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. From 1794 to 1815 it was under French rule apparently and so there must still have been some lingering French culture there later in the century.

I think it's County Down (Ireland). The placename - well! Begins with Creag ....

I identified it as Andolsheim in Alsace, France, so on the French-German border, from the death certificate of Joseph Hertzog (which I just received). But thanks for your help. :)

The other is still a complete mystery to me. :(

How about Cragerlagh?

More likely - Creevyloughgare - goes with the pronunciation.
