Hi Sam,

I transcribe for FreeReg and if you go to the link provided by notanotherminer there is a section on how to volunteer.
From there, choose the county you'd like to transcribe for, click the coordinators link to send email saying you wish to volunteer - they reply with all the info you need, its easy!

At the start I was given a few very small registers, just to see what the work entails, then if you like it, you keep going on from there!
I transcribe a Wales county and messed up from day 1 - emails were going back and forth at a great rate of knots!! but the coordinators couldn't have been more helpful (and extremely patient!).
You'll get all the help you need with any problems/queries and its very interesting work, so go for it!
