I have a lass, born 2nd q. 1872, in Llanmadoc, Glamorgan. Given the circumstances of my findings on census return of 1881 and 1891, I will not mention her name, but will provide details below of the census references.
Prior to her birth, her parents and older siblings resided on Frog Lane, Llanmadoc. Her father was a Master Mariner. In 1901 only her parents are living in the same street.
1881 - RG11/5369/25/4 - aged 9 - enumerated as daughter - Imbecile.
1891 - RG12/4490/24/3 - aged 19 - enumerated as daughter - no occupation but no reference to mental state.
I cannot find her in1901 in an institution - where she would be enumerated by initials. Have not found her with her full name or variants either, so she either died - but no trace of death or was cured of her difficulties and married.
Can anyone suggest how to trace her?
Thanks
