Hello folks,
On a bit of a whim I've decided to put up a blog on my gt gt grandfather George's Griffiths time in New Zealand.

I have a few photos I have always intended to investigate, and the blog seemed to be a way of doing this and build up a background of George's time in New Zealand, albeit brief.
The first photo is an early picture of Greymouth. The other photos (portraits) have been taken in studios around Greymouth and Hokitika - but I haven't loaded them up as yet. I will do this as I have the time. The time frame is probably late 1860s, early 1870s.
I hope you'll all go and have a look. Details of George are light on at the moment, but I will be adding material progressively. It took quite long enough just to get this far!
