Hi, everybody. I was recently greatly excited to learn that I am a descendant of Sir Ralph le Palmer, a knight under Richard I of England. One of his descendants was The Reverend Thomas Palmer, who in the 17th century was sent to Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland, to convert Irish Catholics to Protestantism. Among Reverend Palmer's many descendants was my great-great-grandmother, Ellen Palmer, born in 1836 in Kenmare.

If possible, I would like to visit Sir Ralph's grave in England. Is it possible to find the burial grounds of knights from so long ago? Does anyone know how and where I can research this? Please advise. Thanks.

Give me an email at [email protected] and I will help you.

Rev Thomas Palmer was the Rector of Kenmare. I have visited the protestant Church over there and it is now in ruins.

They are a famous family in Co Kerry.

I am also his descendant.

Cheers
