There is a list of people from England that applied for passports, is there anywhere you might be able to look at the applications to make sure it is your ancestors that applied for a passport and if it is your ancestolrs application would you be able to get a copy of this application?

Hello Kerrie

Such UK passport records as exist are kept at The National Archives at Kew. They have a leaflet about them, you can read it at http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/rdleaflet.asp?sLeafletID=109. You'll see that the information available depends on the date and is unlikely to be very much unless you're lucky. The records are not accessible on line, as far as I'm aware so will require a personal visit or the services of a researcher.

Thank you both for replying to me. I actually got the information from the National Archivist website, hence the question as I found an entry that could be of interest and would like more information. I will look into that link that you gave me Colin. Thanks again to both of you.
