Hi: I'm looking for information in re. to my grandmother, Ada Agnes Rogers [nee Starnes], who lived at no. 2 High Street, Iver, Bucks, from at least 1926 until the late 1950s when she moved to Guildford in Surrey. Ada was married to James Edward Rogers (1890-1934) and had three children: Ada Susie (1914-1920), Betty (1920-1985) and May (1926-1993). Ada Agnes Starnes, I've discovered, was illegitimate. Her mother was Annie Starnes (1859-1928) who, in 1907, seems to have married one Henry Daniels (1859-1943) and the pair, in 1911, were also living in High Street, Iver, but I don't know at which address. The Starnes family, which was quite large, seemed centered in the area around Sipson, Middlesex, but in 1881 merged with the Chiles family in the Andover area of Hampshire. If anyone related to these families can help with facts, memories or any other details I'd be most grateful.

If you can help with recent events, please remember that details of anyone who may still be living should not be posted on the forum. Please use the private messaging system or email instead.

Hi Pat?
I am not altogether sure what you are seeking? information on more recent events or earlier history of the family?
Your couple in High Street Iver in 1911 are living in one of two homes named Swan Cottages next to the Swan Pub, by coincidence a relative of mine is their next door neighbour, Edwin Henry Yoell WELLS was a saddler and harness maker living at Cape House High St Iver in 1911
Let us know what it is you are looking for, as has been said, for more recent events use pm or email
