PATRICK DOWD spouse HANNAH KENNY from EASKY

PATRICK DOWD b 1805, HANNAH KENNY b 1812, and their children went to HOWICK in New Zealand in 1847 on the MINERVA as part of the Fencibles. Does any one know of them individually or as a family in Ireland?
My g grandfather, BERNARD DOWD b 1839, Patrick's son , came to Australia. I have been trying to trace the family in Ireland without much success. Hope someone has them as part of their family and has more information than I. Thanks

Thanks Obbie, I This thread is linked to another (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?65070-EDWARD-GOODMAN-MARY-FAHAN-b-c1810) I posted on Brickwalls. In looking at the replies from that thread I can see that I might have to step back to finding out who Bernard DOWD was. I thought he was the Son of Patrick and Hannah who went to NZ. I had researched him and had all the family in NZ for generations. BUT now I can see that I may have made a mistake and need to go back to my great grandfather BERNARD DOWD who with Sarah GOODMAN had the children listed below. The problem is that I had relied on a marriage in 1875 to, not Sarah, but STELLA GOODMAN. I thought it was close enough. That marriage leads back to Patrick and Hannah. The thread in Brickwalls is on "Edward GOODMAN and Mary FAHAN"

1881 Birth of John Edward DOWD in Carlton. Certificate No. 14965 died in St Kilda in 1884 aged 3 months . Reg 10747

A Bernard DOWD voted in Wimmera in 1909, there is no record of a Bernard DOWD voting in Melbourne.
