Just to let you all know that CumbriaBMD has launched this morning.
It can be found by going to ukbmd and selecting the Local BMD button, or by going directly to www.
cumbriabmd.org.uk
The first set of data consists of 418,648 records for the Barrow-in-Furness District
Births 1837-2009
Deaths 1837-2006
Marriages 1837-1900
The birth records also have mother maiden name against each entry for the whole period 1837-2009.
Hopefully the marriages will be extended to 2009 in the next few days.
Other districts will be added as these become available.
