Does anyone know what has happened to that wonderful bath BMD site? I located a marriage that I had searched high and low for, and I went to log in today to find that the site didn't seem to exist anymore. I went onto the main BMD site and the link said that I couldn't access it.

Ann,

It looks as if the server hosting the site may be down. I hope it will be back up again soon as I have found it very useful.

Hi I didn't know about that and as I have family from Bath that would come in very useful. The period is before 1830. Can you remember the dates it covered.

I will check out this site thanks

It covers the period of civil registration ie from July 1837. I have not checked which years they have completed as it is an ongoing project, rather like Free BMD.

Hi This site might be useful for pre 1837

Somerset is currently 2nd in the league of total number of records transcribed, Norfolk being the 1st/top. I hope others find it useful too. Btw freereg are always on the lookout for transcribers if you feel like helping out even more.
