Son of Rev.R. Wace, of Wadhurst Sussex. Born at Goring, Oxfordshire, 31th March 1841. served mutiny 1857(medal).
Grave at Lahore- " Colonel Edward Wace. Bengal Staff Corps, Financial Commissioner Punjab, born March 31st 1841. died March 24th 1889"
Tablet at Lahore Cathedral- "To the memory of Colonel Edward Wace Bengal Staff Corps, Financial Commissioner Punjab, who after 31 years of devoted labor spent in the Service of the Goverment and of the People, both of whom will long rembember his faithfullness and kindness. Died in the fairth of Christ Jesus at lahore on the 24th March 1889, aged 47 yrears. This monunent was erected by a large number of friends and admires both European and Native
