Does anyone have access to marriage records please? I have a Joseph HOULT marrying Ellen CALLADINE. I desperately need to know Ellen's father's name. If anyone can help, I'ld be very grateful.

You might try ordering the marriage certificate from the local registrar (if you know the parish) or via the GRO using a reference from the index. The index can be searched online - there's freebmd (a work in progress) http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
and a pay-per-view website 1837 online. which is complete.

Well, I only know this:
Joseph Hoult was b. in Church Broughton Derby.
Ellen Calladine was b. in Peters Parish Derby.& she brought her son, John into the marriage and he was born in Sutton on Hill. The 1st biological child that Joseph and Ellen had together was born in Sutton on Hill.
Would this maybe suggest a parish?
