Well almost sure anyway but can't read it:no:

I am looking at Northumberland, Bamburgh page 176 (see I learned from you folks and didn't post the image page)

Something along the lines of

I Andrew Bowey

That the several writings hereto annexed purporting to be copies

Could someone please help me comprehend what it reads:willy_nilly:

Figured it out already

Would have deleted it if I could but no idea how to do that or if it can be done

Basically it's the curate writing about the fact that he has copied entries made in several other registers into this register. What I find really helpful for reading is that there is a button on the page which says "invert". This turns the writing white and the backgound black and in lots of instances helps you to read it more easily.

Something along the lines of

I Andrew Bowey . . .

I think it reads Andrew Bowlt. I think what you are seeing as the descender of a y is actually an ascender from the h in Northumberland in the line below.

Look at where his name is repeated, lower down the page?

There are online references to the Rev. Andrew Boult, curate of Bamburgh, at this period.
