If so Ruyton, or Ruyton XI towns to give it its proper name is indeed in Shropshire. Sal is short for Salop, the old abbreviation for the county,

Ruyton XI towns is the only place I know whose name contains roman numerals. The nearest major city is Shrewsbury - about 10 miles away.
