Hi

I am trying to find out further info on a Hannah Bridle who was born around 1859 in Havant, Hampshire. I think her parents could be Thomas Bridle and Mary Parvin who were married in Havant in 1844.

If I have the right lady she emigrated to New Zealand in 1872 and married a Gerard Sampson at the Albert Barracks in Auckland, New Zealand in 1873. In 1874 she gave birth to a daughter Jessie Mary in September of that year and shortly after in October she died. We don't know what has happened to Jessie Mary as the husband remarried years later and there has been no sign of daughter Jessie.

I would love to find anyone who may have a connection to this lady or can offer any assistance to finding out more info on her.

Thanks.

Hi Irene

I found the following on the 1861 census

RG9 631 85 17
Leigh? Green Havant
Hannah Parvin Head Widow 61 Laundress born Strynton? Sussex
Thomas Meason Lodger Married 23 Ag Lab born Handley Dorset
Ellen Meason Wife Married 24 Laundress born Havant
Emily Meason Daur 1 born Havant
Thomas Luff Visitor Unm 17 Ag Lab born Havant
Hannah Brindle Gr Daur 14 Scholar born Havant

The Parvin/Bri(n)dle relationship is there but there is a large age difference between this Hannah and yours born 1859?
