are there any list members researching this reverend? he was at St Cuthberts from 1760 till his death in1800. I would like to know the maiden name of his wife Jane and if anyone knows where he came from before Lytham. He was born around 1723.

Thank you

You might pick him up here http://www.theclergydatabase.org.uk/index.html
Do you know where and when he was born and married?

Hello Eric,
I dont know where he was born or the accurate date he married. His wife was named Jane. He was the reverend of St Cuthberts in Lytham, Lancashire from 1760 to his death in 1800. He did preach around 1760 in nearby Poulton le Fyldes and a place named Marton. The feeling is that John was born around 1723 and married around 1743.

My thanks for your kind reply.

All my best
Mike

Its also possible that he preached in Poulton le Sands about 1758. We found a death record for a child that could be Johns son. This child was named John Gibson.
