Hi Kim

Try the Irish civil registration indexes at the LDS pilot site (http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;t=searchable;c=1408 347) first. If you can't pin down her birth registration precisely, I suggest you apply to the GRO in Roscommon (http://www.groireland.ie) (no online facility, you have to download and print the form and send it with credit card details by post). Provide them with the information you have, plus (essentially) the name of her father, as stated on her marriage certificate. Give his occupation, too. It might help. They will search a five year period around the date you provide for 6 Euros and send you a photocopy of the birth certificate if they find it.

Good luck
