My wife was born a FILLINGHAM but in Lancashire. With help from other people there appears to be a connection with the village of Blyton in Lincolnshire. We have traced several branches of the family back to a common ancestor, Henry FILLINGHAM
Henry FILLINGHAM, born about 1650 died 1728, married Elizabeth PRESCOTT on 29th Sept 1679 in Prescot, Lancs. It is believed that his father was THomas FILLINGHAM born about 1620 in Blyton, died 1657. How or why there was a move to Lancashire remains a mystery.
Does anyone have information to confirm or deny this
