I am looking for more detail on the marriage of Elizabeth Knowles to Joseph Wentworth 14 March 1833.

Joseph WENTWORTH widower of this Parish,Salesman & Elizabeth KNOWLES of this Parish,Spinster,were married... by Banns...this fourteenth day of March.Witnesses James Hannah(?) KNOWLES & William ECCLES (Church Official).Both the bride and groom signed.

The IGI shows that Ann & Emma WENTWORTH were baptised 29 Mar 1829 at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel,Ancoats.

Most interestingly it lists the parents as Joseph WENTWORTH and Hannah KNOWLES.

The 1851 TD listed Joseph WENTWORTH as being at the same address but he and his family were not there at HO 107 2220 folio 107.Later TDs give his address as 77 Tipping St,Ardwick.I checked the two Ardwick surname indexes no WENTWORTHs were listed.They were probably lost somewhere in the flood damage bits.

Thomas's, Ardwick.

Joseph WENTWORTH is listed in the 1861 TD as living at 46 Oxford St.I was very lucky with this look up.Oxford St covers 10 EDs.The first ED that I checked was the lower odd numbers.To be safe I had a look at the forties and there he was at number 49!!!!
