thomas winter we have been told came from a gypsy family trying to find any evidence of this born about 1880 in west bromwich. henry edwards from herefordshire we think the same trying to find the proof can anyone please help. 1844 for henry.

for sure there was an earlier Tom Winter who was a romany, he married Matilda d/o Elias Gray & & Amelia Hearn/Heron/Herring. He was born cir 1858 in Huddersfield according to the 1901 census when he can be found in Ince, Lancashire with his family. I only know of 3 children tho, Elias (1898 Bradford), Maud J (1900 Ince) and Robert (1902) - and beware the Winter/Winters family are notoriously hard to trace. It is possible though, that there is a connection somewhere, and if you find it - Id love to hear about it.
