Ernest Coates

Ernest Coates died on 7th July 1945 when he was run over by a motor car in Birmingham. The accident was horrific ~ poor Ernest was decapitated.
If anyone has access to old newspaper searches I would be very grateful to learn of any newspaper articles relating to the accident & his death.

As you are in Birmingham, have you tried contacting Birmingham Central Library? They will probably have old newspapers on film that you can look through.
