Family Tree Maker 2010 help please

Please can someone tell my why when I try to look at places it comes up with error then no internet connection available which is wrong as I am connected. Only started with it yesterday so very new to Family Tree Maker I only had my tree on Ancestry before. Thank you.

have you registered BOTH, Family Tree Maker and with Ancestry? Until you do, it will keep telling you that you do not have an Internet connection.
I recently upgraded to FTM 2010 and am not having any problems with it.

Yes I have registered both of them

Are you inadvertently working offline? Click 'File' and look near the bottom of the menu list to check. It should read 'go offline' if you are connected.

When I installed the software, I had to register twice whilst I was doing it - just double checking that this is what you've done, rather than having registered with Ancestry on a previous occasion, and only with FTM now.
