Great great grandfather, David Thomas, born C.1818 at Cilybebyll (This shown on the 1851 census) when the family were at Plantation Row, Rhymney. They were also there on the 1841 census.
David married Mary Brown 16th. May 1840 at Rhymney P.C. She being from Corbridge, Northumberland.
Have not located them on the 1861 or 1871 census.
My main problem is locating a baptism for David and his exact parents.
His fathers name on his marriage certificate was Thomas Thomas and he is shown as a Farmer.
There are very many Thomas families at Cilybebyll (on the IGI)
Davids occupation railman/blacksmith.
Any help with any of the above would be greatly appreciated.
