hi i'm trying to find info on owen moses born about 1833,he had a daughter annie born in 1855-1885,annie married my ancestor morgan edwards but i can't find anything on owen so i'd be grateful if anyone can enlighten me.

I found an Owen Moses on the 1841,51 and 61 census.

No daughter Annie though.

In 1841 and 51 he was living with (presumably) his father Evan and brother Morris.

In 1861

Owen, age 30 Slate quarryman
Margaret age 30
Margaret age 3
William age 9 months

All were born and living in Caernarvonshire

I'm having difficulty find Annie on any census. You say she was born in 1855, but the only marriage I can find for Annie to Morgan is in 1873 in Merthyr Tydfill.

Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate or birth certificate?

If not, how do you know that Owen was her father?

many thanks for looking for this elusive man,he's like the scarlet pimpernel,
i do have a copy of annie's marriage certificate and owen is listed as her father,he was a coalminer and they were from aberdare as were most of my welsh ancestors.

The info. I found was in the north. Now we know where Owen came from I'll have another go at trying to find him.
