Researching John Turnbull (may have had middle initial T) from Dumphries worked as chemist in pottery in Glasgow prior to 1832. Any info on Glasgow potteries or anything that may throw light on this?

There were a number of potteries operatin in Glasgow, pre 1832.
Verreville, Lancefield, Caledonian, Millroad, Wellington, Annfield, Port Dundas,
Kingfield, were all potteries at this time. If you had a more precise date, or
an area of Glasgow where John Turnbull was living I may be able to say at which pottery he might have worked ar trained.
If he left Glasgow in 1832, that was during the cholera epidemic, and economic conditions, were bad for a few years.
