Trying to locate WILLIAM STAFFORD and HANNAH BRACEGIRDLE on the 1851 Salford Census.

They married at the Salem Chapel, Strangeways on 25 December 1852, and I am hoping that they were at the addresses on their marriage certificate in 1851 - together with their respective parents and siblings .....!!!

WILLIAM STAFFORD gave his address as Hills Court, Pendleton - his father's name on his marriage certificate is JOSEPH STAFFORD
HANNAH BRACEGIRDGE gave her address as Gould Street, Pendleton - her father's name on the marriage certificate is WILLIAM BRACEGIRDLE, and I suspect her mother was called JANE

Any help would be appreciated ...!

Many thanks

I havent got access to 1851 Salford, but could try 1841 or 1861. Have you got the family in either of those?

Kate

Thanks Kate

I have William and Hannah in 1861 - they are married and living at Frederick St, Pendleton. Their respective parents could still be alive and somewhere in the same area.....?
JOSEPH STAFFORD - I suspect his wife was Charlotte
WILLIAM BRACEGIRDLE - I believe his wife was Jane.

I would appreciate your looking for these families in 1841 - thanks for the offer!

Hi Kate

I have now found the Bracegirdles in 1841 - but not the Staffords. The Staffords may have been in Broughton rather than Pendleton.

Still interested in the parents in 1861 though ....!!:)

Many thanks!

UKNot sure that the Sanderfords are hiding as Staffords ....:)
I don't think this is the right family - no previous indication that there was a son called William - and unless they all changed their jobs, no previous (or later!) mention of anyone being a wheelwright!
