New to Yorkshire, so I hope West Riding is right for Keighley.
William Sugden gives his birthplace as Oakworth on most of the censuses, so I believe he was born on 3.10.1830 (IGI), parents George and Elisabeth.
I next find him age 25 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire getting married. He lived there for 15 years and had several children.
Where was he during his youth? Does he appear in Oakworth on any early census, say 1851? I realise this is a long shot as there are dozens of William Sugdens in Yorkshire. He may have had brothers James and John. He was a coal and timber merchant in adult life, so may have followed his parents trade.
