This might be old news, but the new Index to the York Prerogative and Exchequer Courts of Probate 1731-1858 is now available at the Origins Network. Pay to view of course, and no free search of just this index, but it fills a big hole if you are looking for possible Yorkshire wills.
The index includes the testators name, place of death, date of probate, and the Borthwick reference number.
