Baptism records - Nottingham

I am trying to find my GGGrandmother Sarah ALLEN's baptism record. On various census's she was born in Nottingham. On her marriage cert her Father's name was George. Can anyone tell me where I could look?

Much depends on the date (or approximate date) of the records that you are seeking.

In Nottingham, there were 54 baptisms of a "Sarah ALLEN", four of whom had a father named George.

Sorry, I should of said that Sarah ALLEN was born aprox. 1833. She also had a brother (that I know of) born in Nottingham c 1826, by the name of William.

Hello Willow,

I've looked on the NFHS Baptisms CD but can't find your Sarah. Those that Rod referred to weren't born in the same period as your Sarah. There was a William son of George and Sarah baptised 14/03/1824 in Bingham.

Thank you Christine, but I'm not too sure about this entry for William. I have his death cert, Year 1898 age 72.

Death certificates can have the wrong age. Do their ages agree on all the census returns?
