WANTED
Samuel HAWKINS bapt. 2 Oct. 1848 Bransgore, Hampshire s/o John HAWKINS & Sarah PURTON.
The story in the family is that he went to Lake Michigan USA.
He was most likely an ag. lab.
To date, I have found no sign of him in the U.S.
Any sightings appreciated. Thanks, Heather

A possibility is the USA, 1880 CENSUS, A widow, working as a servant in household but strange supposedly a son (son in law?) of Charles H. SEYMOURE ? Spelling of HAUKINS probably a transcription error. see below

Thank you so much for this valuable information. There seems to be a strong possibility he's my grandfather's eldest sibling. I will now look in Ohio to follow up your lead.
