Hi

Has anyone any information on the Coach and Horses pub in Royston dating from 1891 till 1911 please? Reason why im asking is my Great Grandfathers brother Joseph Coote born 1824-1881 was a publican there from 1891-1901.
I went to Royston this week to seek some family members graves (whuch i found yipee),and went into the coach and horses pub, there was a few old pictures on the wall,n the landlady told me there was a fire around 1900 and destroyed one side of the pub, have tried to do some research but havent been able to come up with anything,so if anyone has any info or ideas, please let me know

Thankyou

Hello Belinda,

Having seen your posts about your Royston ancestors, are you aware of the Royston and District Family History Society (http://www.parishchest.com/shop/index.php?cmd=listlinkeditems&cat=D6868&breadcrumb=Societies+%26+Groups:Royston+%26+Distri ct+FHS)? They may well be able to help you in your search. :)
