Hello,
This is a photo of my great grandparents and I would like some help at dating it please.

There is nothing on the rear except their names. Both were born early 1870s and married in 1894. I don't think it is their wedding as she is wearing black, although I have no idea if it has always been the done thing for a bride to wear white? According to the marriage register they were married on New Years Day which does seem unusual in itself and there appears to be flowers in bloom in the picture which would also seem to rule out January. Is there any clues in the style of dress, personal appearance (nice mouser!) etc that can be used to guesstimate the date?
Many thanks in advance.
Joe
