My 3 x Gt. Grandfather, I have discovered, was a jolly clever chap. He was born 1787 in Perth,Scotland and worked for the Admiralty in Somerset House in London. I believe he may have lived in Edinburgh and possibly went to Edinburgh University. How do I find out if he DID go there? Or if he didn't, then where would he have been educated? I have email the Uni., but being the summer hols at the moment, I am too impatient to wait for them to come back in a few weeks for an answer.
