Please could I ask if someone could turn up this person either 1851 or earlier in Norrisons Passage, The Shambles, York and see who else is living there?
He should have been born about 1821 and could well have Harriet Swales living with him......It would appear I have to track both of them back, so if they crop up in 1841, it would be handy.
She may have been in Walmgate with Mary Swale / s in the earlier census.
