My G G Grandfather Charles Oram b c1821 at Hornblotton was living with the Carpenter family in 1841 at M S Norton and a Luke Biggin both Sawyers.
He married Hannah Susannah Padfield in 1841 and the certificate gives his Father as John Oram. The possibility of John Oram b c1801 at Alhampton,Ditcheat being his Father is likely as my late Grandfather spoke of a Granny being a Schoolmistress and John is a widower living with 3 young children, Mary, Sarah & Ann in 1841 with Mary Oram b c1771 widow and schoolmistress and two spinster sisters, Mary and Ann, both Knitters.
Luke Biggin [b Hornblotton] is back in Lovington in 1851 with wife Dinah from Ubley and the villages are not too far apart. Any help with Parish register entries would be appreciated please?
