Please could sks help me with my ”Thomas” problem? I am trying to find:

The birth of Thomas THOMAS 1856 Ystalavera, son of Frederick THOMAS c1827 Llandeilo. I cannot as yet identify which birth it may be on freeBMD.

The birth, and eventual parents, of Bridget Thomas c1830 Morriston.

The death/burial place of Thomas THOMAS 1856 and Gwenllian ATHERTON 1858.

The marriage ref/details of Frederick THOMAS 1827 and Bridget THOMAS 1830-1881.

1. Thomas THOMAS 1856 Ystalavera, Glamorgan
married 1877 Llangyfelach, Glamorgan
Gwenllian ATHERTON 1858 Foxhole, Llansamlet, Glamorgan.

2. Frederick THOMAS 1827 Llandeilo Tal-Y-Bont, Glamorgan
Married Jun 1852 Neath, Glamorgan
Bridget THOMAS 1830 Morriston, Glamorgan

On the 1881 UK Census the family, minus Bridget, are living at 33 Market Street, Clase.

On the 1911 UK Census, Fredrik THOMAS with some of the children, living at 4 Curtis Row Ynismudw(sic) which is where Bridget died according to her death certificate.

Frederick Thomas’s father was Daniel THOMAS c1791
Bridget Thomas’s father was Thomas THOMAS c1790 (marriage cert FT/BT1852).

Thomas and Gwenllian THOMAS were my maternal Grandparents. Unfortunately, anyone who could have had information in the family has now passed away. Any assistance in resolving this “tangled web” would be so gratefully received.

Regards
Danny

I am also researching a Thomas Thomas near Ystalyfera, but his dates and parentage are different from yours, though both fathers came from Carmarthenshire, ten years and a few miles apart. I will keep my eyes open for 'your' Thomas when I do more work.

Didn't notice this was following up an old thread:no:

Message to self: must read more carefully:biggrinjester:

Never mind, it only took up a few minutes which could have been wasted some other way:biggrin5:

I wonder if the original poster ever found his answers. Not on this forum, it seems.
