Hi Folks,
My grandfather's brother spent 19 months in the S.A.C, Please can anyone direct me to a web site from which I can find out details of his service.
TIA,
Anthony

You won't find what you want online.

This page contains an overview of military sources
http://www.militarymuseum.co.za/ANCESTORS.html

The website of the National Archives of South Africa has a list of freelance researchers.

You may also find something useful among the medal rolls at the (British) National Archives.

On the other hand, you might find a catalogue reference to lead you there ;)

Not long ago I researched a man who served with the South African Police from 1902-1915. I found enough information in the South African National Archives (http://www.national.archives.gov.za/) online catalogue to identify him and send for his service record from Transvaal.

It's worth a look.

Many thanks those kind people, who took time off from their own research, to reply. An especial thank you to Kerry who supplied my next step.
