dad's service

Can anyone help I fond my dads family in the UK and they gave me photos of him in uniform but they dont now were he served or what ship . George Henry Douglas Cooper b19-4-1918 in Itchen Southamton so he probably enlisted there can someone have a look for me or point me in the right direction thankyou . [dad died in Aus 1959 we have no info]
