Whitstone, Cornwall Marriage Look-up

My GGGreat Grandmother, Mary Pethick, married Thomas Sanguin (IGI has it as Thomas Langwin) in April of 1808 in Whitstone, Cornwall. I am trying to identify Mary's father and hope the original transcript (or copy thereof) might note his name.

I have it narrowed down to either John or Philip Pethick from the IGI, but could also be wrong.

Does anyone have access to these records, or will I have to order the microfilm?

It is highly unlikely that the marriage register would give her father's name - these did not appear until civil registration started in July 1837 - I am assuming you mean the original, rather than a transcript of it which may have even less!
Have you tried the Cornwall (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=66) forum? There may be more knowledgeable people there as this one was intended for general register queries, rather than specific places.

Was hoping for input from the original (or copy of) parish register. Already have a transcript which generated the question.

Did not know that the father's name was not required until after 1837 - a good thing to know.
