Hi all,
Don't know if this has been posted before, but I came across this and thought it might be useful and best of all it's free!!

http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Category:Probate_transcripts

They are mostly wills proved at Canterbury, but you never know what you might find!

That's very interesting Sam. I thought I spotted one of my rellies, but it turned out to be someone else! :(

Hi Glenys,
Saved you the £3.50 though!
I found what I thought be one connected to "my" lot and was going to order a copy, finding this site saved me the cash, which is always a bonus.

Thanks for that! I need the money for my short holiday soon! ;)

I have bookmarked this though as it could be useful sometime.

What's a holiday???
Seriously though, maybe it'll be of use to someone, the transcripts make interesting reading.
I was looking for a Benjamin Wrigglesworth, as from some info I've been given from a deed, he was the father of Isaac, but this particular one isn't the correct one, typically.
